Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) was appointed as an Independent Engineer (IE) on behalf of the lenders to ensure reporting and monitoring on the overall implementation and construction supervision of the two huge jetties under the project.

It is situated alongside the Chittagong Capital road 25km away from the city of Chittagong, the main sea port and the second largest city of Bangladesh.
